Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig November 21, 1983) is an American actress best recognized for her performances in the roles of Shannon Rutherford on the ABC TV series Lost as well as Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Her birthplace was Worthington, Ohio and dropped out of school when her parents divorced to go into Los Angeles to live with her mother. They were struggling to survive when she got her first acting role in Rachel's Room's lead character. The role was reprised in Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the main character Alice on Malice in Wonderland a modern version of Lewis Carroll's classic novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace reprised her role as Shannon in Lost and the final episode. Grace appeared in Californication's 6th season that aired from 2013 until 2014. The actress plays Faith as a groupie, and also an muse for the stars who captures the interest of Hank Moody played by David Duchovny. Gyllenhaal is a part of the family and is the elder sibling of Jake Gyllenhaal. The career of her mother began when she was a young teenager as she was cast in minor roles in several films by her father. She also worked with her brother in the 2001 famous movie Donnie Darko. The year 2002 saw her starred as a character on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. The actress also starred in Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received critical acclaim for her performance as a lead character of Secretary (2002) as well as in Sherrybaby (2006), an erotic romance drama drama as well as Sherrybaby (2006). In 2006, she was also nominated for her fellow actors for the Golden Globe Award. Her fame grew when she portrayed Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) as well as a number of successful commercial films she starred in during 2006.
